Dr. Amit Kumar Chaurasia is a dedicated Interventional Cardiologist with vast experience in Adult, Pediatric and Peripheral interventions. He has one of the highest experience with TAVR (more than 250) and left atrial appendage closure (LAAC, more than 50) in India at present. He is also involved in training others these procedures in India as well as abroad. He is also regularly invited as faculty with respect to these procedures in India as well as abroad.

Apart from TAVI he is also well trained to perform other complex structural heart disease procedures. He is also an expert in the field of Left main intervention, chronic total occlusion (CTO) and other complex procedures and regularly conducts workshop at various places. He also performs carotid and aorto-iliac interventions including intervention for aortic aneurysm and dissections. He also has a good experience in advanced catheter based treatment of hypertension (Renal artery denervation).

Has special interest in Mitral Valve Interventions including Mitraclip, TMVR and Mitral Valvuloplasty.

Expert in the field of other structural heart disease intervention (Includes paravalvular leak closure, ASD, VSD, PDA, RSOV closure, BAS and MAPCA coiling, PDA stenting, Alcohol septal ablation for HOCM). Also does single chamber, Dual chamber, ICD and CRT pacemaker implantation.

Has performed more than 100 endomycardial biopsies in post heart transplant patients.

Does aortic and aorto-iliac interventions (includes intervention for aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, TEVAR, EVAR, coarctation of aorta).

Complex coronary Interventions (Left main interventions, Chronic total occlusion recanalization, Rotablations).

Special interest in coronary physiology and anatomy (performs FFR, IVUS, OCT); and transcatheter treatment of resistant Hypertension (Symphathetic renal artery denervation).
