Vijaya obtained a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore in 2006. She continued for her fellowship in Sports Medicine from Medvarsity and Apollo Hospital Group in 2009. Vijaya also hold a Lifetime membership of Indian Association of Physiotherapist. 

She started her career in one of the most prestigious centres at Narayana Healthcare City where she was trained for Assessment and Management of Pre and Post Cardiovascular and Cardio thoracic patients, Management in Adult and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and Liberation from Mechanical Ventilator with standard protocols, interpreting chest radiographs, ABG and VBG, she is also experienced in handling ECMO patients. She is interested in musculoskeletal and sports injuries, post TKR, THR and Orthopaedic surgery cases.

She speaks English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and has working knowledge of Arabic.
