Overview

Over a span of 36 years, has performed more than 15,000 cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. Pioneer in beating heart coronary bypass surgery and arterial grafting for coronary artery disease in India.

One of the most experienced surgeons in complex aortic aneurysm surgeries in India and has performed more than 1000 aneurysm surgeries. This includes more than 400 aortic root replacements, 150 aortic arch replacements, thoracic and thoraco-abdominal aortic operations, hybrid procedures of the aortic arch and thoraco-abdominal aorta.

Other surgical procedure experience includes more than 400 mitral valve repairs, 150 tricuspid valve procedures, double valve replacement operations, adult congenital heart surgeries, carotid endarterectomy, pulmonary operations, pulmonary thrombo-endarterectomy, and heart transplant. Specialist in complex re-operations for aortic aneurysms, coronary bypass, and valve surgeries and has performed more than 300 of these procedures.
